The Fish Guy, Inc. can help design, deliver, and install your dream aquarium. Once set-up we will then help you maintain your investment, whether you do it yourself or decide to go with one of our maintenance packages.

Design and Installation:
Design and Installation is the most important piece of your aquarium experience. We know what works, and what doesn't. Many aquariums may "look good" from the outside, however its what's inside that makes the difference in the long term, such as; proper filtration, equipment, and design - which make all the difference in the world. The Fish Guy will coordinate with contractors, architects and interior designers to help bring your vision to reality. We have several different types of aquariums to choose from; whether it's Custom Cabinetry to match your decor, an aquarium built into the wall (possibly a room divider), Free Standing aquariums, Designer Table top set-ups, Zero-Edge Aquariums, and more .. the options are endless!!!

Maintenance:

This is the most important aspect of any aquarium and yet nobody usually wants to do it. Keeping up with routine maintenance ensures the livelihood of our tank inhabitants, as well as it keeps your aquarium looking clean and healthy. Every aquarium is different; therefore maintenance requirements and frequency will vary from tank to tank.

General Maintenance Consists of :

• Overall Inspection of Aquarium
• Partial water changes
• Check all equipment
• Vacuum and rotate gravel
• Rinse and/or replace filter media as needed
• Clean or Rotate decorations, rocks, corals, plants (manicure/trim)
• Clean all tank surfaces of any algae
• Inspect all livestock (ie- fish/plants)
• Routine water analysis

Please Note: Any additional items needed that are not listed in your maintenance package will be line item billed on your next invoice. These items may include; filter media, water conditioners, salt, fish, plants, food items, specialty filter media, various equipment (excluding equipment under warranties), and extended filter services/overhauls.

One-Time Set-Ups :

Many headaches can be avoided by having a professional help you during your installation process. We can help you set it up right the first time, and will show you how and why equipment functions the way it does on your aquarium. First we recommend a consultation, to discuss your equipment, products necessary, as well as livestock compatibility (all of which we have on hand for you). Afterwards you may choose to continue with one of our maintenance packages, or to maintain the aquarium yourself.. (and have us come in and provide you with periodic cleanings or overhauls as needed). If you are looking to maintain the aquarium yourself, we will advise you on what needs to be done for maintenance on a weekly or monthly basis. Remember. . if you decide you need assistance at any time The Fish Guy is here to help - we're just a phone call away!

Overhauls :

Every once in awhile, you may fall behind on your routine maintenance; filters become clogged, overfeeding occurs, the lights get left on for too many hours, fish are growing and starting to overcrowd the tank..etc. - at this point - It's About Time for an Overhaul!!! An Overhaul is recommended when your aquarium really needs a good "pick me up", and routine maintenance isn't "cutting it" anymore. An overhaul will consist of; removing your inhabitants and placing them in a holding area (if necessary), so we may clean and restore your aquarium thoroughly. We will clean the gravel, glass, decorations, filtration system, check all equipment on tank and advise if any problems that need to be addressed .. everything necessary to rejuvenate your aquarium and restore it to look as if it where put together for the very first time!

Relocation:

Every so often there comes a time when an aquarium needs to be moved and relocated. Whether it's to paint a room, remodel, change offices or move all together, relocating takes proper planning and swift action.

We will remove inhabitants and prepare for transit, break down and clean all aquarium components and equipment, and pack everything carefully to move and relocate. Once at new destination, we will put aquarium back together.. and give one final inspection - we will then begin to re-introduce your inhabitants into a safe and stable environment. It can be done .. it just has to be done right.
